Why don’t guys like Omar Bakri just shut -up?
When the Sun newspaper rings you up for a quote on anything to do with Islam - don't say a single word.
That is the best advice for people like Omar Bakri Mohammad.
Regardless he has decided to come up with some more strange comments about why it is a sin for Amir Khan to be wearing the Union Jack when he steps into the ring.
And by doing so he sets a bad example to Muslims for showing his allegiance to the British flag.
Now, we have come to expect words such as these from the likes of exiled preacher Omar Bakri in the past.
Every so often he has been rolled before the TV cameras or featured in the tabloids so he can share some of his incoherent wisdom to an audience of millions.
But this latest outburst really is complete nonsence.
If we go by what the likes of Omar Bakri say almost everything and anything would become off-limits.
Living in the UK would become almost impossible for any Muslim.
How this man manages to get himself on the pages of the UK's biggest newspapers is beyond us all.
Some might say he is indeed a victim and is presented at regular intervals to the public in order to distort the image of Islam.
But in all honesty can you really blame the press when he comes out with this sort of rubbish.
Amir Khan is probably the only Muslim figure in this country that appeals to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
So what if he wears the Union Jack and is draped in the flag when he fights? Muslims are proud that he does.
We couldn't care less if Amir Khan steps into the ring singing the national anthem!
So the next time Omar Bakri if you have something to say here's some plain and simple advice... just let someone else do the talking.

narrated by Abu Da'wud that the Messenger of Allah (saaw) said,
"He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyyah, (nationalism/tribali
sm) or who
fights for `Asabiyyah or who dies for `Asabiyyah."
"Leave it, it is rotten." [Muslim and Bukhari] and in the Hadith recorded in
Mishkat al-Masabith, the Messenger of Allah (saaw) said,
"He who calls for `Asabiyyah is as if he bit his father's genitals"

TO SAJ ABOVE- How can you say that, it’s very two faced. I’m proud to be British I was born here and this is my country, I wave the flag proudly and I’m a Muslim. I bet you don’t mind using the state benefits when you want to. Times have changed you have to respect the country you live in. Get over it and stop giving Muslims a cry baby bad name. You have to interpret things with the times. If you don’t like living under England or the allegiance to Queen then I wonder if your ancestral country will be willing to give you your pension and family tax credits, job seekers or whatever it is you depend on of this CHRISTIAN STATE. I thought so.
